What is an Engineering Technician? |
Engineering technicians assist in the design, preparation, execution, and analysis of qualifications, validations, and calibrations to ensure that equipment, software, and processes used in testing, processing, manufacturing, storing, and the distribution of products will meet or exceed the intended performance requirements. Most engineering technicians work in only one type of engineering environment; they may work in labs, factories, offices, or at construction sites. The Engineering Technology Basics certificate program provides training in core engineering techniques. These techniques include drafting and design, complex mathematical calculations, and force evaluation. Topics also include engineering project write-ups, presentation, evaluation, and safety. |
