Website Design/Developer Certificate Program Fact Sheet


What is Website Design/Development? The curriculum in the web site developer certificate program prepares the student to create and maintain professional, high-quality web sites. Program graduates will be competent in the technical areas of web design, including web graphic design, HTML5, CSS3 scripting, web application server-side languages, database driven content, web project management, internet security, and mobile applications. Various software tools will be used throughout the curriculum including: Adobe CC Suite and/or open source products, Program graduates earn a computer information systems technology/web site developer certificate and will have the skills necessary for employment in the web design field or to work as a free lance web designer. The purpose of this certificate is to provide training opportunities for persons already either already employed in the computer industry or have already been trained in a related computer area and wish to upgrade their skill with advanced courses and skills.
Length of Program 3 semesters (minimum)
Semester Program Begins Fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Application Process Apply to Gwinnett Technical College at GwinnettTech.edu, submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the ACCUPLACER test, if required.
Program Prerequisites Diploma level proficiency in English, reading, and math. Please refer to course descriptions in the online catalog for specific prerequisites.

Program Costs and Requirements Students must purchase a domain currently $5.17/year.
