DIET 1010 - Diesel Electrical and Electronic Systems

Prerequisite/Corequisite: DIET 1000
This course introduces students to electrical and electronic systems used on medium/heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment. Topics include: general electrical system diagnosis, battery diagnosis and repair, starting system diagnosis and repair, charging system diagnosis and repair, lighting system diagnosis and repair, gauges and warning devices, and an introduction and familiarization with electrical and electronic systems. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $50 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester. Contact hours: Class - 2.44, Lab - 11.56.
