DMSO 1101 - Clinical Sonography II - Part A Prerequisite: DMSO 1060 This course provides students with continued work experience in a hospital, clinic or other patient care setting. Students conduct sonographic examinations under direct and indirect supervision while continuing to improve their communication, professionalism and critical thinking skills. Topics include: patient care issues; advanced scanning techniques; normal anatomy and pathologic conditions of the abdomen; normal and abnormal sonographic imaging of the male pelvis; normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology of the female pelvis; normal and abnormal uterine and fetal development through the first trimester. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $45 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester.
