ECCE 1121 - Early Childhood Care & Ed Practicum Prerequisite/Corequisite: ECCE 1112 , ECCE 1105 , Requires program director approval before registration. A satisfactory DECAL criminal background fingerprint check is required. Provides the student with the opportunity to gain additional supervised experience in an actual or simulated work setting allowing demonstration of techniques obtained from course work. Practicum training topics include: promoting child development and learning; building family and community relationships; observing, documenting, and assessing to support young children and families; teaching and learning; becoming a professional; and guidance techniques and classroom management. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $50 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester.
