BTEC 2260 - Ethics for Clinical Research


Prerequisite: Program Admission
This course is an introduction to ethical considerations in the design and performance of clinical research on human beings. Topics include: landmark documents in the ethics of clinical research (Nuremburg Code, Declaration of Helsinki, Belmont Report), ethical factors surrounding informed consent, ethical clinical research and Good Clinical Practice, and the concept of clinical equipoise.
