Program Description

The Automotive Chassis Technician Specialist certificate program provides students with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to enter the automotive industry as an entry level chassis technician. Topics covered include: shop safety, basic electrical/electronic theory and diagnosis, chassis components and types, steering system components and service, alignment theory and procedures, and brake system operation, diagnosis and repair. (Program Length: 2 Semesters) Prerequisite: Students are encouraged to acquire a personal set of hand tools.

Students applying for this program must be accepted into the Automotive Technology degree or diploma program.

Employment Opportunities

Employment opportunities include but are not limited to general service technician, suspension and steering technician, brake system technician.
