Program Description
The Horticulture diploma prepares students to begin successful careers in horticulture. The program also prepares students to become certified by various green industry professional associations. Students may become a Georgia Certified Plant Professional (by the UGA Center for Urban Agriculture); a Georgia Certified Landscape Professional (by the UGA Center for Urban Agriculture); a Commercial Pesticide Applicator (by the Georgia Department of Agriculture); a Certified Arborist (by the International Society of Arboriculture); or a Certified Professional Landscape Designer (by the Association of Professional Landscape Designers). Technical courses apply to the degree program in Environmental Horticulture.
