Program Description

The Automotive Engine Repair Technician certificate program provides the students with the opportunity to develop skills necessary for entry level automotive engine repair technician. Topics include: basic shop safety, basic electrical/electronic diagnosis, principles of engine operation, basic engine diagnosis, and basic engine repair procedures. This certificate does not qualify for Federal financial aid as it does not meet minimum hour requirements. Prerequisite: Students are encouraged to acquire a personal set of hand tools.

Students applying for this program must be accepted into the Automotive Technology degree or diploma program.
