Program Description

The Ford ASSET Electrical Technician certificate program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose, service, and repair basic electrical/electronic automotive systems as an entry-level technician within a Ford or Lincoln shop. Topics covered include: automotive shop safety, electrical theory and circuit diagnosis, automotive batteries, starting and charging systems, instrumentation, lighting, and various vehicle accessories within Ford and Lincoln brands. 

Prerequisite: Students are encouraged to acquire a personal set of hand tools. Students applying for this program must be accepted into the Ford ASSET degree program.
