Program Description

The Social Media Specialist certificate prepares graduates to create and administer content on all social media platforms to build an audience and ensure customer engagement. The specialist may also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.

Prerequisite: Students applying for this program must be accepted into the Business Technology degree program.

This program includes roles such as Content Creator, Digital Marketing Coordinator, or Community Manager. In these positions, daily tasks typically include creating and scheduling posts across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok; analyzing performance metrics and engaging with followers by responding to comments and messages; and collaborating with design or marketing teams to align content with brand goals.
