What is Game Development? |
The computer game developer certificate provides learning opportunities, which develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of programming theory, game design, game artificial intelligence, game physics, and practical application necessary for successful employment in gaming development. Program graduates receive a technical certificate of credit in gaming development. Technical courses apply to degree and diploma program in game development. |

Application Process |
- Applicants to the Game Development program must meet all admission requirements; complete an application and pay the application fee. Individuals apply to Gwinnett Technical College at GwinnettTech.edu and submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the ACCUPLACER test, if required.
- Students applying for this program must be accepted into the computer game developer degree or diploma program unless they have completed the required prerequisite courses for this certificate.

Program Prerequisites |
Diploma level proficiency in English, reading and math.
All prerequisite courses for this program must be met through exemption testing, transfer credit or course completion. (CIST 1305 , CIST 1001 , FYES 1000 and MATH 1103 or MATH 1113 or MATH 1111 ) Please refer to course descriptions in the online catalog for specific prerequisites. |
