CRJU 1040 - Principles of Law Enforcement
Prerequisite: Diploma level proficiency in English and reading
This course examines the principles of the organization, administration, and duties of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Topics include: history and philosophy of law enforcement, evaluation of administrative practices, problems in American law enforcement agencies, emerging concepts, professionalism, and community crime prevention programs. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $35 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees. Contact hours: Class - 3, Lab - 0. Credit hours: 3 (E)
