Program Description

The Automotive Engine Performance Technician certificate introduces students to the knowledge and skills required for entry-level engine performance technicians. Topics covered include theory, diagnosis, service, and repair of fuel systems, ignition systems, emission system, and electronic engine controls. This program is ideal students who enjoy working with the latest in automotive technology. Prerequisite: Students are encouraged to acquire a personal set of hand tools.

Students applying for this program must be accepted into the AutomotiveTechnology degree or Automotive Fundamentals diploma program.
