HPWS 1101 - Fitness and Wellness

Prerequisite: (Diploma level proficiency in English and reading)
Introduces the individual to the principles necessary for the achievement of fitness and wellness. The components of healthy lifestyle management will be explored. Topics covered include: exercise principles, cardio respiratory health, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, nutrition and diet, stress management, exercise injury prevention, and avoidance and consequences of unhealthy lifestyles.
