FORD 1040 - Ford Engine Performance Systems

Prerequisite: FORD 1010  and FORD 1020  
This course introduces Ford engine performance systems utilizing NGC and GPEC controllers. OBD II engine management systems are covered, as well as speed density fuel injection. Topics include: general engine diagnosis, computerized engine controls and diagnosis, ignition system diagnosis and repair, fuel and air induction, exhaust systems, emission control systems diagnosis and repair, and other related engine service. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $40 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees.  Contact hours: Class - 2, Lab - 6.
