ARTS 1101 - Art Appreciation


Prerequisite: ENGL 1101  
Explores the visual arts and the relationship to human needs and aspirations. Students investigate the value of art, themes in art, the elements and principles of composition, and the materials and processes used for artistic expression. Well-known works of visual art are explored. Students are required to participate in observation and evaluation of the visual arts beyond the classroom and the internet.  (associate degree-level course) Note: Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $60.84 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees.
