BIOL 1111 - Biology I


Prerequisite: Degree level proficiency in English and Reading;
Prerequisite/Corequisite: BIOL 1111L  
Provides an introduction to basic biological concepts with a focus on living cells. Topics include chemical principles related to cells, cell structure and function, energy and metabolism, cell division, protein synthesis, genetics, and biotechnology, and evolution. (associate degree-level course). Note: Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $56.24 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees can be changed at the end of the semester.  Contact hours: Class - 3, Lab - 0. Credit hours: 3 (E)
