COSM 1050 - Hair Color

Prerequisite: COSM 1000
Prerequisite/Corequisite: Program Admission; Diploma level proficiency in English, reading and math
Introduces the theory and application of temporary, semipermanent, demipermanent-deposit only, and permanent hair coloring, hair lightening, and color removal products and application. Topics include: principles of color theory, hair structure, color, tone, classifications of color, hair lightening, color removal, application procedures, safety precautions, client consultation, product knowledge, haircolor challenges, corrective solutions, and special effects. Contact hours: Class - 1, Lab - 5. Credit hours: 3 (F, Su)
