HORT 1720 - Introductory Floral Design Prerequisite: Provisional Admission This course introduces the basic concepts and practices of floral design. Topics include: introduction to floral design; principles and elements of design used in floral compositions; identification of commonly used floral materials; conditioning and storing cut flowers; mechanics and supplies of flower arranging; construction of basic geometric designs; and corsage construction. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $150 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester. Contact hours: Class - 2.5, Lab - 3.5. Credit hours: 4 (F)
