PHOT 2307 - Event Photography


Prerequisite: PHOT 1018  
This course concentrates on the techniques and methods used to capture different types of events, from corporate to weddings, and delivering quality images. A photographer must provide complete coverage of an event, knowing when to not interfere with the action and when to step in and take charge. Emphasis is placed on professional practices, handling and controlling a wide range of lighting possibilities, determining appropriate equipment and techniques, negotiating locations, and managing people. Techniques for post-processing and delivery options are also examined. Students registered for this course will be assessed a $175 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees.  Fees are subject to change at the end of the semester. Contact hours: Class - .67, Lab - 3.33.
