PHOT 1011 - Photographic Fundamentals Prerequisite: Program Admission; Diploma level proficiency in English and reading; students must be 16 years old Corequisite: PHOT 1012 Introduces contemporary technologies used to produce photographic images. The fundamentals of DSLR camera controls are studied. The course is a solid foundation in camera and lens functions, exposure control, and digital photographic system capabilities. Basic tools and techniques are used to explore the photographic language and craft. Using a digital camera (DSLR) with manual controls, students will work on completing challenging technical exercises and assignments. Students registered for this course will be assessed a $100 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of the semester. Contact hours: Class - 1, Lab - 5.
