A. S. General Business Program Fact Sheet


  • What is an A.S. Business?

The Associate of Science in General Business degree program provides an introductory foundation to core aspects of the business environment while also preparing students for continued study in the field of business. The program develops skills through course work in communication, social/behavioral sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and the humanities, as well as through course work in the business disciplines. Graduates may pursue additional education opportunities at four-year institutions or pursue a variety of entry-level positions in the broad career field of business

  • Prerequisite Courses

Degree level proficiency is required to take degree level General Education courses.

Diploma level proficiency in English and Reading is required to take technical courses. Please refer to course descriptions in the online catalog for specific prerequisites.

Spring, summer, and fall semesters

  • Application Process

Applicants to the A.S. Business program must meet all Admission requirements; complete an application and pay the application fee. Individuals apply to Gwinnett Technical College at GwinnettTech.edu, submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the Accuplacer test, if required.
