Floral Designer Certificate Program Fact Sheet


What is a Floral Designer? The floral designer certificate is designed for students who want to move quickly towards a floral career. Students learn basic design skills and the correct use of floral supplies and equipment. Students also become familiar with wedding and event planning as well as how to profitably run a floral business.

Prerequisite Courses Diploma level proficiency in English, reading and math are required to graduate from this certificate.
Semester Program Begins Fall and spring
Application Process Applicants to the Floral Designer program must meet all admission requirements; complete an application and pay the application fee. Individuals apply to Gwinnett Technical College at GwinnettTech.edu, submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the ACCUPLACER test, if required.
Program Deadlines You may enter in the fall and spring terms.
