ECHO 1100 - Echocardiography Fundamentals

Prerequisite: Program Admission
This course introduces the basic principles and applications of the physical assessment and echocardiographic procedures. Discussion of medical law and ethics as it relates to the professional scope of practice. Topics include: basic echocardiographic imaging principles, patient skills and equipment instrumentation, basic Doppler and color principles, medical law and ethics and common terminology and abbreviations. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $240 cost recovery course fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester.
