CIST 2602 - Network Security

Prerequisite: CIST 1601; and CIST 1401, CIST 2431 or CIST 2451
This course provides knowledge and the practical experience necessary to evaluate, implement and manage secure information transferred over computer networks. Topics include network security, intrusion detection, types of attacks, methods of attacks, security devices, basics of cryptography and organizational security elements. Note: Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $116.88 cost recovery fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees can change at the end of the semester. Contact hours: Class - 2, Lab - 4.
