COSM 1060 - Fundamentals of Skin Care

Prerequisite/Corequisite: COSM 1000 ; Program Admission; Diploma level proficiency in English, reading and math
This course provides a comprehensive study in care of the skin for theory and practical application. Emphasis will be placed on client consultation, safety precautions, skin conditions, product knowledge, basic facials, facial massage, corrective facial treatments, hair removal, and make-up application. Other topics in this course include advanced skin treatments in electrotherapy, light therapy, galvanic current, high frequency, and microdermabrasion. Contact hours: Class - 1, Lab - 6. Credit hours: 3 (T)
