RNSG 1102 - Pharmacological Concepts and Drug Calculations


Prerequisite: Program admission
This course is designed to provide the student nurse with the tools essential to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate drug effects of the patient. Pharmacological principles of fluids and medications and basic skill for safe delivery of care are an emphasis of this course. Supervised clinical simulations and inpatient/outpatient hospital experiences will provide the student opportunities to meet course competency outcomes. Contact hours: Class - 1, Lab - 2.
