PHOT 2003 - The Working Photographer


Prerequisite: PHOT 2002  
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the business of photography including commercial and consumer clients. Students are familiarized with the workings of a professional photography business including freelance/contract work, job search, marketing, studio management, basic accounting, estimates & invoices, contracts, taxes, copyright law, business conventions, legal and ethical issues. Practical skills, practices and tools to build a career in photography are examined. Students registered for this course will be assessed a $175 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees.  Fees are subject to change at the end of the semester. Contact hours: Class - 1, Lab - 2.
