WELD 1010 - Oxyfuel Cutting
Prerequisite/Corequisite: WELD 1000
Introduces fundamental principles, safety practices, equipment, and techniques necessary for metal heating, oxyfuel cutting, and plasma cutting. Topics include: metal heating and cutting techniques, manual and automatic oxyfuel cutting techniques, oxyfuel pipe cutting, plasma torch and theory, plasma machine set up and operation, and plasma cutting techniques. Students enrolled in this course will be assessed a $30 supply fee in addition to tuition and fees. Fees are subject to change at the end of any semester. Contact hours: Class - 3, Lab - 3.
