PHOT 2317 - The Illustrated Photograph


Prerequisite: PHOT 1016 
Photographs are used to illustrate a story or idea for a variety of assignments. Students learn techniques to interpret stories and create idea-based photographic illustrations. Emphasis is placed on concepts, creativity, research, aesthetics, camera techniques, lighting and post-processing skills for the visual execution of illustrative imagery. Working applications can include still life, people, documentary and/or fashion photography for print and online magazines, as well as books, album covers, marketing materials, corporations and advertising for an array of subjects and interests.
