Drafting Technology Diploma

Program Description

The Drafting Technology diploma prepares students for employment in a variety of positions in the drafting field. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to upgrade present knowledge and skills or to retrain in drafting. Graduates of the program receive a Drafting diploma. Technical courses apply to the degree program in Drafting technology.

Note: Students must verify diploma level proficiency in math before program admission.

Students who choose to take DFTG 2030 or DFTG 2040 as an elective could also complete the Advanced CAD Technician certificate.
