What is an Office Accounting Specialist? |
The Office Accounting Specialist certificate provides entry-level office accounting skills. Topics include: principles of accounting, computerized accounting and basic computer skills. The monitoring of financial transactions is a specialized task assigned to trained professionals often known as office accounting specialists. These individuals are required to ensure that all money being processed by the business entity is being accounted for in an accurate and fiscally responsible manner. |
Prerequisite Courses |
- FYES 1000
- Diploma level proficiency in English, reading and math are required to take ACCT technical courses and graduate from this certificate. Please refer to course descriptions in the online catalog for specific prerequisites.

Applicants obtaining the Office Accounting Specialist Certificate must meet all Admissions requirements; complete an application and pay the application fee. Individuals apply to Gwinnett Technical College at GwinnettTech.edu, submit all transcripts from high school and previous college work, and take the ACCUPLACER test, if required. |
