Program Description

The Web Site Design/Development diploma is designed to provide students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. The curriculum in the Web Site Developer certificate program prepares the student to create and maintain professional, high-quality web sites. Program graduates will be competent in the technical areas of web design, including web graphic design, HTML5, CSS3, scripting, web application server-side languages, database driven content, web project management, internet security, and mobile applications. Various software tools will be used throughout the curriculum including:  Adobe CC Suite and/or open source products. Graduates receive a Web Site Design/Development diploma. (Program Length: 4 Semesters Minimum)

Students who choose CIST 1550 and CIST 1560 as electives could also complete the Graphic Design for the Web certificate.

Employment Opportunities

Web designer or developer with IT businesses that have an e-commerce component

Regulations published by the U.S. Department of Education require institutions that participate in the Title IV student financial assistance programs to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV-eligible educational programs, two years earlier, that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE Programs).
